Sand Reclamation
Pulau Melaka East 1

Delivery of sea sand to Pulau Melaka East 1, including selection and mobilisation of suitable equipment for the dredging, extraction, transporting and unloading of sea sand from the concession site.

The provisional quantity of the sea sand was 1,000,000 m³. We were also requested to monitor all operations and maintenance of the equipment, plants, machineries and vessels including all associated diesel/petrol and oil lubricants.

The project required us to design and supervise the construction of a breakwater, capital dredging and other ancillary works for the new Deep Water Terminal at Kuantan Port, Pahang for the East Coast Economic Region Development Council (ECER).

The scope of work for Kuantan Port consists of carrying out diving project for the inspection of underwater construction for the breakwater by the contractor at the Project Site as follows:

  • Breakwater base dredging and sand filling
  • Geotextile
  • Underlayer, toe and apron
  • Primary armour ACCROPODE II units
  • Other works associated with the breakwater construction
